Types of Manuscripts

1. Original Research Articles

Presenting novel methods, models, systems, experiments, or empirical findings supported by appropriate analysis and evaluation.

2. Review Articles

Providing critical, structured, and evidence-based synthesis of existing research, including systematic reviews where appropriate.

3. Applied Research and Case Studies

Reporting rigorous investigations of computing and communication technologies in real-world settings, with clear methodology and meaningful findings.

Interdisciplinary Research

JOCSAIC encourages interdisciplinary studies integrating computer science, artificial intelligence, information systems, data science, and communication technologies with other disciplines. Such submissions must establish a clear computing-related research contribution and explain the significance of the proposed approach to the relevant application domain.

Publication Standards

Submitted manuscripts must be original, scientifically sound, ethically conducted, and prepared according to the journal's author guidelines. Research methods, data sources, experimental procedures, and evaluation criteria should be described sufficiently to support critical assessment and, where applicable, reproducibility.

Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable research ethics, publication ethics, copyright, licensing, and authorship requirements. All submissions are subject to editorial assessment and the journal's peer-review procedures. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Out-of-Scope Submissions

Manuscripts may be considered outside the scope when they:

  • Have no substantial connection to computer science, artificial intelligence, information systems, or communications.
  • Present routine software development without a clear research question, technical contribution, or meaningful evaluation.
  • Provide insufficient methodological detail or inadequate evidence to support their conclusions.
  • Consist primarily of promotional material, product descriptions, or non-scholarly commentary.
  • Fail to comply with the journal's ethical and submission requirements.

The editorial team makes the final determination regarding the suitability of each submission.

Commitment to Scholarly Communication

JOCSAIC aims to promote responsible, transparent, and impactful scholarly communication in computing and related technologies, supporting scientific understanding, technological innovation, and the responsible application of digital technologies.
