1. General Instructions

JOCSAIC welcomes original scholarly manuscripts relevant to computer science, artificial intelligence, information technology, communications, and related interdisciplinary fields within the journal's scope. Manuscripts must present a clear research contribution supported by an appropriate methodology, reliable evidence, and relevant scholarly literature.

Authors should prepare their manuscripts using the official JOCSAIC article template and submit them through the journal's online submission system. Before submission, authors should check the completeness of the manuscript, the accuracy of all metadata, the quality of figures and tables, and the consistency of citations and references.

2. Manuscript Formatting

Element Requirement
File format Microsoft Word document using the official JOCSAIC template.
Paper size A4.
Page margins Top: 3 cm; left: 3 cm; bottom: 1.5 cm; right: 1.5 cm.
Main text Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced.
Article title Maximum 14 words, centered, bold, Times New Roman 15 pt.
Author information Full author names, affiliations, institutional addresses, and email addresses.
Length 10–15 pages, following the journal template.

Authors should remove all instructional text, colored template notes, and example content before submitting the manuscript.

3. Title, Abstract, and Keywords

Article Title

Use a concise and informative title of no more than 14 words. The title should accurately represent the research topic and contribution.

Abstract

The abstract must contain 170–230 words and summarize the research problem, objectives, methodology, and principal findings. Present quantitative results where appropriate. The abstract should be clear, informative, and understandable on its own. Do not include citations or references in the abstract. Avoid uncommon abbreviations and define necessary symbols.

Keywords

Provide exactly five keywords that represent the main research topics, methods, technologies, or application areas. Use specific terms that help readers discover the article.

4. Recommended Article Structure

Research articles should follow the structure below unless the handling editor has approved a different structure appropriate to the article type.

01

Introduction

Minimum 700 words. Explain the research background, problem, state of the art, relevant previous studies, research gap, proposed solution, objectives, and expected contribution. The template calls for discussion of at least five related studies, preferably published within the most recent five years.

02

Research Methodology

Minimum 500 words. Explain the research design, data sources, materials or datasets, research stages, methods, procedures, analytical techniques, and evaluation or testing procedures. Describe the methods in enough detail for readers to understand and assess the study.

03

Results and Discussion

Minimum 1,800 words. Present the research findings and interpret them in relation to the objectives, methodology, and previous studies. Include relevant tables, figures, implementation results, or evaluation metrics where appropriate. Explain the significance and limitations of the findings.

04

Conclusion

Minimum 200 words. Answer the research objectives, summarize the principal findings and contributions, acknowledge important limitations, and identify reasonable directions for future research. Write the conclusion in paragraphs rather than a list of bullet points.

05

References

Include at least 15 relevant references. All cited works must appear in the reference list, and every listed reference must be cited in the manuscript. Follow IEEE citation and reference formatting.

5. Tables, Figures, and Equations

  • Number tables, figures, and equations consistently in the order in which they appear.
  • Refer to each table and figure in the manuscript text and explain its relevance to the research.
  • Place table titles above tables and figure captions below figures, following the supplied template.
  • Use clear, high-quality images. The template recommends images of approximately 300 dpi for publication-quality output.
  • Do not submit tables as images when they can be provided as editable tables.
  • Use the Microsoft Word Equation Editor for mathematical expressions and number equations sequentially when referenced in the text.

6. Citation and Reference Style

JOCSAIC's supplied manuscript template specifies the IEEE referencing style. Authors should use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to maintain consistency and reduce formatting errors.

IEEE in-text citation example

Recent studies have explored this approach [1], [2].

  • Cite sources using sequential numbers in square brackets, such as [1], [2], and [3].
  • Arrange the reference list according to the order of citation in the text.
  • Prioritize relevant primary literature, including journal articles, conference proceedings, research reports, patents, standards, and research books.
  • The supplied template recommends approximately 80% primary literature and 20% secondary literature, with attention to recent research.
  • The template recommends primary literature updated within the most recent five years and literature published within at least the last eight years. Older sources may be appropriate when they are foundational or necessary.
  • Include DOI information whenever a valid DOI exists. Verify DOI links and bibliographic details before submission; do not invent or guess DOI values.

7. Author Names and Affiliations

The manuscript should provide complete and accurate information for all authors, including:

  • Full names of all authors, in the agreed author order.
  • Faculty or department, study program where applicable, institution, city, and country.
  • Valid email addresses for the authors, including the corresponding author.
  • A clear identification of the corresponding author.
  • Accurate ORCID iDs where available and requested by the submission system.

All authors should have made a meaningful scholarly contribution, approved the submitted version, and agreed to the submission. Changes to authorship should be disclosed to the editor and handled in accordance with journal policy.

8. Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts meet accepted standards of academic integrity and the journal's applicable editorial policies.

Originality

Submit original work and properly acknowledge the ideas, data, and words of others. Do not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate research results.

Exclusive submission

Do not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal or republish previously published work as original research.

Disclosure

Disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest, permissions, and ethical approvals where applicable to the research.

Use of AI tools

Authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, citations, and all submitted content. Disclose AI use in accordance with the journal's applicable AI policy.

9. Submission Checklist

☐ The title contains no more than 14 words.
☐ The abstract contains 170–230 words and has no citations.
☐ Exactly five keywords are provided.
☐ The manuscript contains the required article sections and research stages.
☐ All citations and references follow IEEE style and match one another.
☐ At least 15 relevant references are included, with valid DOI information wherever available.

10. Editorial Screening and Peer Review

Submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with submission requirements, and readiness for peer review. Manuscripts that proceed are evaluated in accordance with the journal's peer-review procedures.

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial and reviewer comments. A request for revision does not guarantee acceptance. The final decision rests with the journal's editor following the applicable editorial process.

Authors should consult the separate Peer Review Process page for further information.

11. Copyright and Licensing

The supplied JOCSAIC template identifies the article as open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0). Authors should review the journal's current copyright and licensing policy before submission and ensure that third-party material is appropriately credited and licensed.
