Peer Review Process
JUIKTI applies a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to maintain the academic quality, originality, methodological soundness, and relevance of published articles.
Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Teknik Informatika (JUIKTI) uses a double-blind peer-review system. The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers, and the identities of reviewers are concealed from authors throughout the review process.
Authors submit their manuscripts through the JUIKTI online submission system. The submitted manuscript should comply with the journal's author guidelines, ethical requirements, and manuscript preparation standards.
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, basic scientific quality, completeness, formatting, ethical considerations, and compliance with the author guidelines.
Manuscripts may be screened using an appropriate similarity-detection system and evaluated for potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or other research-integrity concerns.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to qualified and independent reviewers with relevant expertise. JUIKTI normally seeks evaluation from at least two independent reviewers.
Reviewers independently evaluate the manuscript based on academic quality, originality, relevance, methodology, analysis, results, discussion, references, clarity, and overall contribution to the field.
Novelty and originality of the research contribution.
Appropriateness and rigor of the research methods.
Validity, clarity, and adequacy of research findings.
Interpretation and connection with relevant literature.
Relevance, quality, accuracy, and appropriate use of references.
Clarity, organization, language, figures, tables, and overall presentation.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editor's assessment, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
When revisions are requested, authors must respond to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript through the journal's submission system. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the editorial production process, including copyediting, proofreading, metadata verification, DOI assignment, and final publication.

Reviewers are expected to decline assignments when a potential conflict of interest may compromise their impartiality.
Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision should provide a clear and reasoned explanation addressing the decision and relevant reviewer comments. Appeals are considered by the editorial team based on academic and procedural grounds. The final decision rests with the journal's editorial authority.
JUIKTI is committed to maintaining an objective, confidential, and academically rigorous peer-review process. Peer review is conducted to support the integrity and quality of scholarly communication and does not constitute a guarantee of publication.
