JUIKTI is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, fairness, and responsibility throughout the scholarly publishing process.
JUIKTI – Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Teknik Informatika, published by CV. Raskha Media Group, is committed to ethical scholarly publishing and responsible research communication.
This Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement describes the ethical responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher. JUIKTI follows recognized principles of publication ethics, including the core principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Core Principles of Publication Ethics
Integrity
Research and publication decisions must be conducted honestly, responsibly, and transparently.
Fairness
Manuscripts are evaluated based on scholarly merit without discrimination based on nationality, affiliation, gender, religion, or other irrelevant factors.
Transparency
JUIKTI promotes transparent editorial, peer-review, authorship, conflict-of-interest, and correction practices.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, ethically conducted, and appropriately reported. Authors must:
2. Originality, Plagiarism, and Duplicate Publication
Manuscripts submitted to JUIKTI must be original and must not contain plagiarized, fabricated, falsified, or improperly reproduced material.
Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal. Duplicate publication, substantial overlap with previously published work, and inappropriate text or image reuse may constitute publication misconduct.
JUIKTI may use plagiarism or similarity-detection tools as part of its editorial screening and may investigate suspected cases in accordance with applicable publication-ethics procedures.
3. Authorship and Contributions
Authorship should reflect substantial contributions to the research and manuscript. All listed authors should have made meaningful contributions and should approve the final version of the manuscript.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged where applicable.
Any changes to authorship after submission must be properly justified and approved by all affected authors and the editorial office.
4. Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of the journal's editorial process. Editors should:
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly.
- Maintain confidentiality during editorial assessment.
- Select appropriate and qualified reviewers.
- Manage conflicts of interest appropriately.
- Base publication decisions on scholarly merit and peer-review evidence.
- Take reasonable action when ethical concerns arise.
- Correct the scholarly record when errors or misconduct are confirmed.
5. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to maintaining the academic quality and integrity of published research. Reviewers should:
6. Peer Review Integrity
JUIKTI uses a double-blind peer-review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to one another during the review process, subject to the journal's editorial procedures.
Manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are made based on the quality of the manuscript, reviewer recommendations, and the overall editorial assessment.
7. Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, editors, and members of the editorial team must disclose relationships or circumstances that could reasonably influence the research, review, or editorial decision.
When a significant conflict of interest exists, the individual concerned should withdraw from the relevant editorial or review activity.
8. Research Data and Integrity
Authors are responsible for maintaining appropriate research records and supporting the reliability and reproducibility of their reported findings.
Where appropriate and legally or ethically permissible, authors are encouraged to provide access to supporting datasets, software, code, research materials, or methodological information that can help readers evaluate or reproduce the research.
9. Research Ethics and Ethical Approval
Research involving human participants, personal data, animals, or other regulated subjects must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional or regulatory requirements.
Where ethical approval is required, authors should provide appropriate information regarding the approving institution, approval reference, informed consent, or other relevant ethical safeguards.
10. Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts when using artificial intelligence or generative AI tools.
AI tools must not be listed as authors. Where the use of generative AI materially contributes to manuscript preparation, analysis, coding, or other aspects of the research, authors should disclose such use in accordance with the journal's applicable AI policy.
Authors must verify AI-generated content, references, data, quotations, and other outputs before submission.
11. Research and Publication Misconduct
JUIKTI considers the following examples of publication misconduct:
- Plagiarism or unattributed use of another person's work.
- Fabrication of research data or results.
- Falsification or manipulation of data or research processes.
- Duplicate or redundant publication.
- Improper authorship or authorship manipulation.
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest.
- Manipulation of citations or peer review.
- Other actions that seriously compromise the integrity of the scholarly record.
Suspected cases may be investigated by the editorial team. Where appropriate, JUIKTI may request explanations or supporting information from authors, reviewers, institutions, or other relevant parties.
12. Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Actions
JUIKTI is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record.
When a published article contains a significant error, appropriate editorial action may include a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue.
Editorial actions will be documented transparently and linked to the affected publication where appropriate.
13. Complaints and Appeals
Authors may raise legitimate concerns regarding editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, or procedural matters through the journal's official communication channels.
Appeals and complaints will be considered fairly and independently, where possible, and will not affect the author's ability to submit future manuscripts except where justified by established editorial or ethical concerns.
14. Responsibilities of the Publisher
CV. Raskha Media Group, as the publisher of JUIKTI, supports the editorial team in maintaining the integrity, accessibility, preservation, and continuity of the scholarly record.
The publisher supports reasonable editorial actions required to address ethical concerns, correct the scholarly record, preserve published content, and maintain transparent scholarly communication.
