1. Journal Focus
Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (JUPAUD) is a scholarly open-access journal dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and practice in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
JUPAUD publishes scholarly works that contribute to the understanding, development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of education, learning, development, and care for young children.
The journal welcomes empirical research, theoretical studies, reviews, educational innovations, and evidence-based discussions that provide meaningful contributions to the field of Early Childhood Education.

JUPAUD welcomes original scholarly manuscripts addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:

3. Priority Research Areas
JUPAUD particularly welcomes studies that demonstrate clear theoretical, empirical, methodological, or practical contributions to contemporary Early Childhood Education.
Research on multidimensional child development and learning outcomes.
Evidence-based approaches for improving early childhood learning.
Responsible integration of technology and AI in ECE.
Research supporting inclusive, equitable, and accessible education.
Partnerships among children, families, educators, and communities.
Policy, governance, quality improvement, and professional practice.
4. Interdisciplinary Research
JUPAUD welcomes interdisciplinary research when the manuscript has a clear and substantive connection to Early Childhood Education.
Relevant interdisciplinary perspectives may include psychology, sociology, health and nutrition, linguistics, educational technology, neuroscience, family studies, community development, and other fields that contribute meaningfully to the understanding of young children's education and development.
5. Types of Manuscripts
Subject to the journal's submission requirements, JUPAUD considers the following scholarly contributions:
Original Research
Empirical studies presenting original data, analysis, findings, and discussion.
Review Articles
Systematic, scoping, narrative, or other scholarly reviews with a clear methodological and analytical contribution.
Theoretical Studies
Critical theoretical or conceptual studies that advance understanding of early childhood education.
Educational Innovation
Evidence-based innovations, learning models, media, interventions, or educational practices.
6. Out of Scope
Manuscripts may be considered outside the scope of JUPAUD when they:
- have no substantive connection to Early Childhood Education;
- focus exclusively on populations outside early childhood without a clear ECE implication;
- address general education topics without a meaningful early childhood perspective;
- are primarily technical, medical, psychological, or social studies without a clear contribution to ECE; or
- do not provide sufficient scholarly or evidence-based contribution to the field.
Manuscripts outside the journal's scope may be declined before peer review to ensure that the review process is focused on relevant scholarly contributions.
7. Scholarly and Editorial Relevance
Alignment with the journal's scope is one component of editorial assessment. Scope alignment does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
Manuscripts are expected to demonstrate appropriate scholarly quality, methodological rigor, ethical conduct, originality, clarity of presentation, and a meaningful contribution to the field.
All manuscripts remain subject to the journal's editorial screening and, where applicable, peer-review procedures.
Editorial Scope Statement
JUPAUD welcomes diverse scholarly perspectives and methodological approaches as long as manuscripts demonstrate a clear, substantive, and academically meaningful relationship to Early Childhood Education.
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team reserve the right to determine whether a submission is sufficiently aligned with the journal's focus and scope. Such decisions are made according to scholarly relevance, editorial policy, research quality, and the integrity of the publication process.
