JUPAUD is an open-access scholarly journal committed to transparent, clear, and legally consistent copyright and licensing practices. All published scholarly articles are made available under an open license that permits lawful access, reuse, sharing, and adaptation subject to the applicable license terms.

Copyright & Licensing at a Glance

1. Copyright

Copyright in each published article shall be clearly identified and stated in the article's full text and publication metadata. The copyright statement applicable to the individual article shall be consistent with the journal's licensing and open-access policies.

JUPAUD does not use an "All Rights Reserved" statement for scholarly articles published as open-access content. Copyright and licensing information are provided separately so that readers, authors, repositories, and other users can clearly understand the applicable rights and permissions.

The copyright information displayed on individual articles takes precedence for determining the copyright holder and specific publication terms applicable to that article.

2. Author Copyright and Publishing Rights

Where JUPAUD's applicable publication agreement provides that authors retain copyright, authors retain copyright in their work and grant JUPAUD the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, distribute, preserve, and make the article publicly available as part of the journal's scholarly publishing activities.

Authors should review the applicable publication agreement or copyright statement associated with their submission before publication. The journal does not require authors to surrender copyright merely as a condition of publishing open-access scholarly work.

3. Creative Commons License

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License .

JUPAUD applies the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license to published scholarly content where indicated by the article's licensing statement.

4. Permissions Granted Under CC BY-SA 4.0

Subject to the full terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, users may:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
• Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.
• Reuse — use the material for lawful purposes, including commercial purposes, subject to the license terms.

These permissions are provided subject to the conditions and limitations contained in the official CC BY-SA 4.0 legal code.

5. Attribution Requirements

When sharing, redistributing, or adapting an article published by JUPAUD, users must provide appropriate attribution as required by CC BY-SA 4.0.

Attribution should appropriately identify the available information, such as:

• Author(s)
• Title of the article
• Journal name: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (JUPAUD)
• Publication information, where applicable
• DOI or article URL, where available
• Reference to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license

Users should also indicate if changes were made to the original material when required by the license.

6. ShareAlike Requirement

If a user creates and distributes adapted material based on a work licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, the adapted material must be distributed under the same license or a compatible license as permitted by the CC BY-SA 4.0 terms.

The ShareAlike requirement applies according to the official Creative Commons license and should not be interpreted as imposing additional restrictions beyond the license itself.

7. Third-Party Material and Copyright Exceptions

Not all material appearing within an article is necessarily owned by the article's author or covered by the article's open license. Third-party photographs, figures, tables, datasets, quotations, or other materials may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

Where third-party material is not covered by the article's CC BY-SA license, the relevant copyright status, license, permission, or applicable copyright exception should be clearly identified in the article, figure caption, table note, or other appropriate location.

Users are responsible for respecting the copyright and licensing conditions applicable to third-party materials.

8. Repository and Self-Archiving

JUPAUD supports the dissemination and preservation of scholarly research through institutional, subject-based, and other legitimate repositories, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors and users should follow the CC BY-SA 4.0 terms when depositing, sharing, or redistributing published versions of articles.

Where a repository requires additional information, users should provide the article citation, DOI, journal name, and a link to the official JUPAUD publication whenever available.

9. Article-Level Licensing Information

JUPAUD recommends that the applicable copyright and licensing information be displayed clearly at the article level and, where technically possible, in the full-text HTML and PDF versions of each published article.

The article-level statement should identify the applicable copyright holder and provide a direct link to the relevant Creative Commons license.

10. Website Copyright

The copyright and licensing terms applicable to JUPAUD's published articles are separate from the copyright and intellectual property rights applicable to the journal website, branding, logo, layout, design, and other website materials.

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license for scholarly articles should not be interpreted as automatically applying to the JUPAUD website, trademarks, logos, or other materials that are not identified as being covered by that license.

11. No Additional License Restrictions

JUPAUD does not add contractual or technical restrictions that are intended to override or contradict the permissions granted by the applicable Creative Commons license.

The official Creative Commons license terms govern the rights and conditions associated with material licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Users should consult the official license for the complete legal terms.

12. Relationship with the Open Access Policy

JUPAUD's copyright and licensing policy is intended to operate consistently with its Open Access Policy. Published scholarly articles are made available for immediate online access without subscription or access charges, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

The copyright statement, license, and Open Access Policy should be read together when determining the rights and responsibilities associated with a published article.

13. Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to JUPAUD do not unlawfully reproduce copyrighted material and that appropriate permission or licensing information is obtained for third-party material when required.

Authors should properly acknowledge sources and identify materials that are subject to copyright, licensing restrictions, permissions, or other legal limitations.
